a great way to
decrease cavities in grooves of the teeth

Dental sealants are a thin, plastic film applied to the chewing surface of premolars and molars. The sealants fill in the deep grooves on the chewing surface, where it is easy for cavities to form. By filling in these grooves, we see a decrease in cavities in these areas. We love to prevent cavities whenever possible and often recommend sealants be placed on the permanent teeth after they erupt in our pediatric patients. Adult patients can also benefit from sealants. The placement of sealants is pain free and requires no anesthetic (numbing)!
